Statement from Pure Floyd

Pure Floyd have been on hold for most of 2011 due to commitments outside of the band. Whilst we were hoping to get back out there in early 2012, it looks like life outside of the band means that it will take a little longer than planned.

About Pure Floyd

Pure Floyd are a South Wales based Pink Floyd Tribute Band, dedicated to reproducing the classic songs from Pink Floyd in a live environment.

We can scale ourselves from small and intimate venues upwards. Where space permits we can also operate a light show to add even more atmosphere to the gigs.

Pure Floyd play a varied selection of Pink Floyd covers as a tribute to this classic band. Covering material from classic albums, such as "Dark Side of The Moon", "Wish You "Were Here", "The Wall" and "The Division Bell", amongst others.

Recreating the "full" Pink Floyd sound live is quite a challenge. Even Pink Floyd supplemented their live performances with backing tapes and additional musicians. As a four piece line up we have supplemental instruments and backing vocals on backing tracks as well as the sound effects, but we believe that we still achieve the vibe that makes a good live performance something magical.
